Summer is winding down, and school is back in gear for me as a school counselor next week. I'm realizing I haven't posted all of the fun updates we have completed on our house since spring (finally) arrived!
Our master bedroom was in need of a spruce up. It wasn't horrible, just wasn't exactly the look I was going for, and since it's a bigger room we avoided it for the first couple years of living in this house. One day last spring, I was motivated, so I enlisted my husband's help to move furniture and we were on our way! We didn't want to spend too much money, so we kept it simple, fresh paint & new curtains.

We chose decided to keep the dark / light shade look that the previous owners as we liked the two tone with white trim look. We both wanted something neutral and I love grey! We used Valspar's Seashell grey for the top color and Filtered Shade for the bottom. We needed two coats for both the top & bottom colors on the walls.
Painting wasn't as painful as I thought it would be. It took a few days for us to paint the room, trim and ceiling. I love the final look! It's definitely a more neutral crisp feel to the room. Exactly what I was going for!
